PERL Software Developer

Position: PERL Software Developer

The HostGator Programing Department is actively hiring Perl software developers. Considered applicants must have actively use Perl in order to develop a myriad of applications. We are strongly interested in individuals who use Perl in order to solve many different problems, rather than continually solving the same types of tasks.

Requirements:

  1. Mastery of common Perl functions (arrays, loops etc.)
  2. Mastery of HTML
  3. Advanced skills in Regular Expressions (the ability to write them as well as interpret them)
  4. Working experience with MySQL driven Perl Applications
  5. Ability to work well with others

Perferred Skills:

  • Ability to work well at odd hours of the day/night
  • JavaScript
  • AJAX
  • Advanced MySQL (table joins, subqueries)
  • Advanced Perl (forking, threading, sockets, piping, file management)
